Our Kid's Classes are back! Enroll your child - ages 8 and up in our Kid's Club where they will create their own scrapbook that is all about them!

We will meet every Wednesday during the summer from 11am - 12:30pm.  Once school starts we will reschedule to a time that works with the kids' school schedule.

• The cost for the first class is $50.00 (includes their album kit & 1st page kit)
• The cost for the following classes is $15.00 (includes page kit & classtime)
• Each child will need to bring 4-6 photos from one event to each class.

During their first class, each child receives their own 12x12 album,  12" paper trimmer, scissors and tape runner.  They also get a canvas bag to store everything in and transport all of their supplies to and from the store. 

We teach the kids how to properly use their tools and supplies.  We will show them how much adhesive they should use, how to use their paper trimmer,  how to mat their photos.  By the end of each class they will have created a new layout.


Every child gets to decorate their bag with their name using fabric markers.

Every week each child will receive a new page kit.  During our class time we will guide them through the steps to create a new layout using the products from their kit.  The leftovers from their kit are theirs to keep.  Occasionally we will create card or little mini products with their leftover scraps.

We show them what to do - but the kids put together the pages themselves.  With a little guidance every child finishes up with something that they are proud to show to their friends and family.

Look what I did with some scraps that were left over from our May Hip Kit.  With a simple rubber stamp, a few left over stickers and some extra chipboard pieces I create a great collection of birthday  and thank you cards.  I doodled around the chipboard with a black pen and added some stitching for a little extra detail.  It is amazing how far you can stretch one kit.

Here are some photos of the project from our Favorite Family Recipes Cookbook Class.  I haven't printed out my recipes yet - but I will soon.  :)  I think this is a great place to store some of grandma's recipes and my mom's recipes as well.  What a great gift for a friend or a loved one!

For those of you who received our May Hip Kit and May Add-on Kit - you have everything in your packages to create this cookbook.  Some of the die cut decorative borders may be different - but you can easily improvise.  Just another great project to inspire you.  :)

Our July Add-On Kit is fabulous.  The image does not do it justice.  The Denim Lollipop flowers from Prima are wonderful in texture, dimension and color.  You can use them just as they are or break them apart and incorporate patterned paper, jewels, add a rub-on.  Oooohhhh.....  there are just so many ideas.  The rub-ons are navy blue and will add a whimsical touch to your projects.  The jewels can be added to a rub-on or to accent a flower on your patterned paper.  The Basic Grey Piper Mini Chipboard Alphabet are perfect for adding subtitles and captions.  The uppercase letters are approximately .75" tall and the lower case are .5" tall.  Each package includes 4 sheets of these babies!  Brown 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, red stitched 3/8" grosgrain ribbon and the blue diecut felt border trim complete the package. 

As for all of our Add-On Kits - they are available to our Hip Kit members on a 1st come first serve basis.  We only have 25, and when they're gone - they're gone.  So - make sure to give us a call to reserve yours soon.

Check out these AWESOME projects from Deana Boston using our June Hip Kit and June Add-On Kit.  She is great a clustering embellishments and she always adds her own doodling touch to her projects.  The pen stitching around the paper flowers is a great detail.  She also loves to use her sewing machine to add stitching to her pages and projects. 

LAYOUTS

These layouts and cards by Melanie Jarocki are fabulous.  She does a great job clustering embellishments, and creating custom edges and embellishments by hand cutting elements out of the patterned papers.  She also shows how far you can stretch one Kit.  Thanks Melanie for sharing your talent with us.

Orange border was hand cut from Scenic Route paper.  Also the notches in the black patterned paper were cut using a circle punch.  Melanie followed the circle pattern on the opposite side of the paper, and punched them out.  Flowers were also hand cut.
