| Melanie Jarocki created a couple really cute cards and a scrapbook layout with products from Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man, Jenni Bowlin Farmer's Wife, Crate Paper Orbit, Sassafras Lass Bungle Jungle and accents from Basic Grey, Jenni Bowlin, Scenic Route and Creative Cafe. These are the same products that she used in the mini album I posted yesterday. It is amazing how versitile they all are. :) I love the gathered twill on the cards! It adds such wonderful texture. Thanks for sharing Melanie! |

| Kimmi is on the design team for Pink Paislee - one of my very favorite manufacturers. She has a great eye for style, design and composition! All of the little details that she includes make for amazing layouts. Check out the sewing on the August page. It is subtle - but it is a very nice touch. The flower accent around the 8 is a great idea, and the pleated Jenni Bowlin Crepe Paper Ribbon adds fabulous texture and dimension to her project. Check out the combination of rub-ons and chipboard to create the "Baking Cookies" title. This is a great way to create a bold title in an unconventional space. Also, make sure to check out the Maya Road Sheer Flowers on the Cookies layout. They are a very subtle embellishment - but they give dimension to her embellishment clusters. Awesome projects Kimmi. Thanks for sharing them!

| Pop Top Can Gift/Party Favor

|
| Pop Top Can Gift/Party Favor Instructions 1. Use a smooth edge can opener to open a food can with a pop top (like pineapple) from the bottom of the can, keeping the pop top unopened. 2. Wash out the can and remove the outer labels. 3. Stuff can with party favors like candles, pens, stickers, etc. 4. Glue the bottom of the can back in place. 5. Decorate the can with your August Hip Kit scraps (you can use the old food label as a template). Adhere with glue dots. 6. For the top of the can, cut a 2.5" diameter circle and then cut a small notch on the edge of the circle to fit into the pop top tab. 7. Tie ribbons from the August Add-On Kit onto the pop top tab. 7. Your recipient can open their gift by opening the pop top! |
