Hi Everyone!

It is Lisa here with you today.  I have had so much fun playing with our June Hip Kit using this sketch by Jillibean-Soup as the inspiration for one of my layouts!   Rather than creating just one page, I wanted to use the sketch TWO different ways...

For the first take, I simply dry brushed white craft paint onto a solid piece of kraft cardstock and then I used  several of the cut apart tags to create the base of my page.  Then I  embellished around the tags and added my pictures....

I also added some of the washi tape from a previous kit.  I adore how easy our Hip Kits mix and match from month to month!  It makes it a breeze to really use every little bit and piece of each amazing kit.:D

For the second take on this sketch I decided to create a Project Life layout for a week when I was healing from surgery and did not have many pictures or stories to share....  I really love the way it turned out!

Our Hip Kits are so full of pretty little things that are perfect for using on your “Project Life” layouts.  I love using these kits to create for these pages because they come together so quickly and easily.  With all of the fun products that are included in each kit,  I am able to add lots layering and embellishing to each these layouts.

It is Bethany here with you today to share the layout I was I was inspired to create using this month's inspiration sketch by Jillibean Soup and our amazing June Hip Kit...

I love the grid style of this sketch. Such a great way to fit multiple photos and lots of fun details on a page! There's one of those cute canvas cameras again! This one with is embellished with a super cute button for the lens...

Love the paper bag envelopes found in our June Embellishment Add-On Kit. It is perfect to hold a tag for journaling up in the right hand corner...

The confetti was created with a simple hole punch...so simple, but adds a festive touch!

Note: The date stamp? That's the SMASH date stamp that lots of you have from our December 2011 Embellishment Add-On kit.   Such a fun tool to use on projects and can still be found here!

Hi Everyone!

It is Kristin here again.  I have to tell you that...  once again Kimberly has put together another FABULOUS kit!  Our June Hip Kit features a collection of both subtle and bold colors.  Regardless of how you mix and match the products in it… they will all coordinate together perfectly.  I was thrilled with all of the boy stuff in this kit!  The Jillibean Macho Nacho and Studio Calico Numerical patterned papers coordinated so well with the teal shirt in these photos from my son's last day of school.  The Echo Park This & That sticker sheet had a few school themed stickers which were a perfect fit for my layout.

Every month each of our design team members create 1 layout based on a sketch.  This month’s sketch by Jillibean-Soup was really fun to work with.  It can be interpreted so many different ways, but I kept my design pretty close to the sketch, just varying the embellishments a bit.

I added several layers of the light blue cardstock and the Jillibean-Soup Macho Nacho blue polka dot patterned paper behind the Echo Park Die Cut Stickers to make them stand out a little more.

I also added some machine stitching and some splats of Mr. Huey mist from an earlier Hip Kit.

I can’t wait to see how our other design team members interpreted this sketch!  If you are inspired to jump in and create a layout of your own using our June Sketch – we would love to see it!  Take a photo of it and post it on our Facebook page.  :)

• Take a photo of your layout. Natural light and no flash works best. :) Email the photo to kimberly@hip2bsquarescrapbooking.com .

Hello! 

Kristin here, hoping you are having some scrappy goodness today!  I want share my take on this sketch by Creative Scrappers that we are using as our inspiration for our April Layout Sketch Challenge.  I used our springy March 2012 Hip Kit to create my page.  this was such a fun sketch to work with and I am really happy with the way my page turned out.  Hopefully it will inspire you to create a layout of your own and join in our challenge this month.

To create an interesting background, I stamped a subtle pattern using the chevron stamp from the American Crafts Stamp Set that was included in our March Embellishment Add On Kit.  I also added some paint splatters with my Mister Huey’s Opaque White Mist.   I did some random crazy machine stitching to give my page some finishing touches. 

One of my favorite things from our March Hip Kit(s) was the Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch (Embellishment Add-On).   I used this punch along with some scraps of glossy photo paper to embellish around the 3 smaller photos in the left hand corner of my page.  I thought that they were a fun little addition and glossy paper gives it a little extra POP.  This punch makes it really easy to use some of the extra scraps you having sitting around.
