This fabulous mini album was created by Melanie Jarocki using the products included in our March Hip Kit & Add-On Kit(s). Her husband travels for work from time to time. This mini album is for him. It will allow him to take a piece of home with him when he travels. Melanie and each one of the kids can put a letter or a picture inside the envelope pages for "Dad" to read during his time away from home. I think this is wonderful idea for a mini album. What a unique idea Melanie! Thanks for sharing it with us.

So, leave it to me when I find time to work with our fabulous kits to go overboard in creating an interactive mini album that takes full advantage of the envelope pages. I added lots of fold-out pages to accommodate more photos and journaling. All of these things make my album interesting to look at. :) As I started my intent was to include 12 years in one little book. Let's just say that I filled the book with all kinds of details from birth through 3 years old. So. to finish my project - there will have to be several volumes. LOL. I am not crazy about the photos that i took of my book today - but I have been so anxious to share it with you all - so I am going to throw caution to the wind and use the pictures anyway. I can always update with better pictures later. My album is a little complicated - and sometimes the photos make it look more complicated that it actually is. If you have any questions at all - please don't hesitate to email me at kimberly@hi2bsquarescrapbooking.com . I hope you enjoy it. :-D

Join alongside myself and some of my designers as we embark on a creative journey to create an Ali Edwards inspired project. We will be creating a book documenting "A Week In Your Life" using photos and journaling from the routines of our everyday lives. Our adventure will begin next Monday and go through Sunday evening as we gather the content for our books (photos & thoughts). You can spend some time this week preparing and organizing your creative space as well as giving some thought to what you want your book to be. Ali has done this project before - and I am including some links that you can check out to give you some ideas and inspiration - since we will all be doing this project simultaneously - I don't have my own sample to show you right now. Once we begin - I want to encourage everyone to upload their favorite photos and pictures of their works in progress onto our Facebook page. ( www.facebook.com/scrapbookers )
To participate - Just grab your camera and take photos of random things and happenings from your life during the week of April 19th - 25th. Grab a business card or a take-out menu from a restaurant you visited, a receipt from Target or the grocery store. This project is very random. No staging - just focus on taking real life photos and jot down thoughts or descriptive words related to the things that took place that day. The important part of this project is the gathering of the content (photos and thoughts), you don't need to run out and to shop for the perfect album, paper and embellishments. Just focus on the details of our lives over the course of the week, and I am sure that we will all learn something about ourselves in the process.
Regardless of whether you have scrapbooked before or not, you can do this project. No previous experience needed.
For more details visit Ali Edwards' Blog.
I am really excited about this project! I hope you will give it a try!
Hugs, Kimberly :-D
