I have arrived...

So this morning before I left for the airport, I had my husband print out my hotel reservation information.  A couple of minutes later, he came into the room and said "I think we might have a problem."  He couldn't locate my reservation information.  Fortunately, with a quick phone call - all was well and my reservation was confirmed.

I made it to the airport early, enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee and a scone.  I was at the gate in plenty of time to board my flight.  In fact the flight was great!  There was no one sitting in my row.  My friend Lyn, was sitting across the aisle from me and there was no one in her row.  I can't remember the last time I traveled where the flight wasn't completely full.  I enjoyed using both armrests for the entire flight and didn't have to worry about invading someone else's space.

My flight arrived right on time.  The baggage came quickly.  What a perfect day...  Lyn and I got a cab and headed for our hotel.  The cab was clean, the cab driver was pleasant, no traffic.  What a perfect day...

The cab driver dropped us off at the Sheraton.  Where was the bellman to help us with our bags?  I kind of laughed and strung my two huge suitcases together and headed for the front desk to check in.   The desk clerk checked me in and gave me my room key, and the other desk clerk gave my CREDIT CARD to the other guest standing next to me.  Two minutes later the guest returned and handed my credit card back to the desk clerk and told him that he had received the wrong card.  Then they handed my card back to me.  I chuckled and thought what a funny mishap.  It all ended well.

After I got settled in my room and checked with my family, Lyn and I met in the lobby and headed out for dinner.  We met a designer from Luxe Designs in the lounge.  She showed us catalogs with all of their new papers, stamps and stickers.  What fun!  I can't wait to see it all in person.

This is where it gets funny...  After dinner, I headed back to my room and began to unpack my bags.  When I opened my second bag I realized it didn't have my stuff inside it!!!  I accidentally grabbed SOMEONE ELSE'S SUITCASE!!!!  Eeeeeeekkkkk!!!!!  Oh my gosh!  I took my red suitcase so that this wouldn't happen.  I grabbed someone else's red bag!  Mine was waiting for me in the baggage department as an unclaimed bag!!!!  I called the airline and told them what I had done.  I was so embarrassed, and somewhat humored by the whole situation.  Who does this happen to?  Anyway, the airline was glad to hear from me as the bag that I took belongs to a guy who is going on a cruise tomorrow morning.  I am sure that the guy has been in a panic all afternoon.  The airline is on it's way to pick up the missing bag and to deliver the one that actually belongs to me.  This will definitely be a journal entry for my scrapbook for this trip.  :)

I could have kept this little story to myself, but I thought it might bring a little laugh to whoever reads this entry.  All is good now, and I am ready for the show tomorrow!!!  Don't forget to check back tomorrow for more updates!!!  They will be plentiful.
