Hi Friends!!!
Bethany here today to share this collection of cards that I made with our February2012 Hip Kit.
Grey is my new favorite 'neutral' and I love it paired with so many colors. The grey & white striped patterned paper in this kit (My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Butterflies paper) is one of my favorites! I love both sides of it - the cute butterfly print and the great grey stripe! On this card, I inked the edges of the striped background paper with some grey pigment ink just to soften the edges a bit.

I kept this card really clean & simple. I just added a little bit of machine stitching as an accent...

I used one of the Maya Road canvas butterflies on this next card. These butterflies are fabulous! I really like how they look right out of the package, but they literally are a blank canvas and can be altered in so many ways. I sprayed some of my beloved Mister Huey on this one to give it some color...

I also used one of the fun SMASH pockets on this card so I could tuck in a little message...which is one of those darling mini flash cards cut from the Echo Park paper! (I added the 'sending you' sentiment with a rubber stamp from my stash.)

This next card is one of my favorites from the bunch. It's another simple one...but I love the color combo! The turquoise paper from My Mind's Eye is a really great, bold pattern.

To add a little interest to the simple design, I used the small side of my Crop-A-Dile hole punch and punched holes in the turquoise paper so a bit of the green shows through and it also creates a decorative edge on the paper as well.

And last, but not least, another really simple card. I was inspired by the package of decorative brads from My Minds Eye that is in this months kit. Lots of fun layered brads! So I used various punches to create a variety of shapes from the patterned papers and then used one of the brads from the kit to hold all the layers together.

I could create cards all day long with this kit! Hope you're inspired to use up some bits of your February Hip Kit.
Happy Crafting!
