Crate paper is one of my favorite manufacturers.  They have come out with several new lines of paper.  We ordered it all!  Here are some pictures of their “Samantha Collection”.  This will give you an idea of what is to come.  Each Crate Paper line has 5 double sided patterned papers, coordinating die-cut tags, borders, frames,  ribbon, chipboard alphabet and rub-ons.   You will want to be sure to see this one in person!

February 2007
Text Box: All Day Crop: Saturday 10am—midnight Ages 17 and up. This is an excellent opportunity to get out of the house and work on your albums without distractions. No matter what your experience levels is, this is a great chance to share ideas and spark that creativity. Crop Fee: $10 Mommy & Me Crop: Friday 2pm—4pm Ages 6 and up. Enjoy this time to spend some quality time with your child. Involve your child in this hobby and allow them to record their own memories. We have some great little book ideas for you and your kids. Crop Fee: $10 / Parent & Child plus supplies Teen Crop Night : Friday, Feb.. 23rd 6pm—10pm. Ages 12 and up. This crop is designed for the teen in mind. Get together with your friends and other people your age. Listen to the music you like, and work on your scrapbooks. This is a great way to make new friends. Crop Fee: $10 plus supplies Basic Scrapbooking: Tuesday, Feb. 6th 10 am—noon or 6pm—8pm. Ages 10 and up. This class is designed for those who have never scrapbooked, or who have done very little. In this class you will learn how to crop and mat your photos and how to put together your first pages with some basic layout designs. Please bring 8-10 photos, a paper trimmer and adhesive with you or you can purchase them at the store. Class Fee: $20 The Art of Distressing : Tuesday, February 20th 10am—noon or 6pm—8pm. Ages 13 and up. This class is designed for those familiar with basic scrapbooking and for those seasoned scrappers who want some innovative ways to spice up their pages. In this class you will learn how to calm down really bright or bold paper, distress the edges of your paper, and use other great techniques to give that aged look to your pages. These techniques really allow your photographs to be the focus of your pages without having the things on your pages compete with them. Class Fee $20 February Specialty Project: Monday, February 13th, 10am—1 pm or 6pm—9pm. Ages 13 and up. In this class you will create an embellished aluminum lunchbox. You can use it as a very unique gift box, use it to store your kids art supplies, or use it as a springtime decoration. Please bring your paper trimmer, adhesive and scissors with you. You will receive a kit with everything you need to create this project. Come by the store and check out our sample. You won’t want to miss this class. Fee: $30 Card & Craft Make –n-Take: Tuesday, February 27th, 10am—noon or 6pm—8pm. Ages13 and up. This is a class designed for anyone interested in papercrafts. In this class you will make a couple of beautifully embellished handmade cards and a cute coaster mini-book that your husband can display in his office, or you can carry in your purse as a little brag book.. We will incorporate great products to create projects will be sure to impress anyone who sees them. Please bring your trimmer, scissors and adhesive to class. Class Fee $25

Crate Paper—Samantha Collection

We are now offering ALL DAY CROPS every Saturday  and the cost is only $10.00!  These crops are in place of our Friday evening crops.  Our hours on  Saturday have changed to 10am until midnight, and our crop area is open during those times as well.  Hopefully this change will allow you to come in and work on your projects during a time that is convenient for you. 

 

Over the past month we have had a great turn out for our crops!  No matter whether you are a novice scrapper or a very seasoned one, crops are a great way to share ideas and gain inspiration.  We are always here to answer your questions, give you an idea, or teach you how to use products that you aren’t familiar with. 

 

In an area where there isn’t much in the way of evening entertainment, our crops are a great option for a girls-night-out!  They also give you the opportunity to get out of the house and  work on your albums without any of those distractions that we all experience at home.

Team Parties, Birthday Parties & Showers

Are you looking for somewhere to host a birthday party, sports team party, throw a baby or bridal shower?  We have your answer! 

 

We offer birthday parties for children 8 years old and up.  In and hour and a half, each child will complete a great friendship book.  This will be a great  activity, and each child will walk away with an adorable book which can also be their party favor.

 

If you are tired of the same old team pizza parties and don’t have any room on your shelf for another trophy, we have a great alternative.  We can host your team party here.  Each child will create a little memory book or an embellished photo frame to put their team pictures in.  The kids will love it, and so will the parents.

 

We can also help you plan and host a baby shower.  We will design kits to make layouts that cater to the taste of the mom-to-be.  You can escape the run of the mill baby shower games and replace them with creating layouts for a one of a kind baby book.  This will truly be a shower that will be remembered by all who attend.

 

Are you looking for an idea for a bridal shower?  We can work with you to plan a party for the bride-to-be.  We can put together a party for any theme, from recipes books, advice to the bride books, wedding albums or family history books.
