Hi there! Here is Amélie to share two new creations I made with our with February Hip Kits. First, is a layout to document my birthday that was just a few days ago. I can’t believe that I am now 37 years old! Time files by so quickly...
Next, is a sweet little card. Once again, I played with labels to create the background. Then, I layered a chipboard frame over the wood veneer card with the heart cutout from our February Color Add-On Kit. To finish my card I added some sequins, the “Happy note" wood veneer shape that I inked with a Prima chalk and another Elle’s Studio label. I hope you like it! xo
Happy Wednesday! Ashley Horton here sharing a layout & card that I created with our February 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits. Fellow team member, Gaelle, created an adorable heart background cut file, and I couldn't wait to use it on one of my layouts for this month. I cut the hearts on the Elle's Studio paper and backed it with the cute heart pattern. I also cut three hearts from the Vellum, included in the February 2014 Main Kit, and stitched them over some of the hearts cut from the background paper. I embellished with some of the October Afternoon chipboard pieces, an October Afternoon Tin Pin, some of the Chic Tags rub-ons and the Elle's Studio stamps.
I went with a more subtle color scheme on this card, and used the Teal Polaroid frame from the Elle's Studio Love You More Bits & Pieces along with a sentiment cut from the October Afternoon Click! patterned paper. Then, I added a pop of color, using the Kiss Me sentiment from the Elle's Bits & Pieces. I also stamped on the vellum included in the kit, with Versamark ink and heat embossed the heart stamps with the American Crafts Zing Embossing Powder included in our February Stamp Add-On Kit . I attached the hearts to the talk bubble die cut, using my tiny attacher. I hope you like it!
Hello! It is Gaelle here with you today. I have two projects that I created with our February 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits. For this page, I shortened the white cardstock and I sewed it onto the pink patterned paper. The layout is centered, with stacked and sewn items. To highlight the photo, I've sewn and stapled it on a folded piece of vellum. I hope you like it!
To create this card, I was inspired by our February Mood Board. I glued a piece of white cardstock onto the striped paper. Then I sewed two Elle's Studio labels and added a chipboard border and a wood veneer embellishment using 3-D foam adhesive to give extra dimension to my card.
Hello All! Wendy here and I created this layout with our February 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits to capture a recent visit to Austria to visit my fiancé. The chipboard slide frames in the February 2014 - Embellishment Add-On Kit inspired my idea to add several of my fav photos in one layout.
I used the rubons from the February 2014 - Main Kit to accent onto the notebook paper wood veneer shape from the February 2014 - Color Add-On Kit. The chipboard borders in the February 2014 - Embellishment Add-On Kit are also neat for different levels of layering along with the slides.
I created this layout inspired by the washi tape in the February 2014 - Embellishment Add-On Kit. I confess I'm quite the hoarder on washi tape with an undisclosed amount in my art room. So, I'll leave it at that and just say I wanted to focus on the washi tape to good use on my layout. I repeated a criss-cross pattern and love the effect. I added the script letters from the February 2014 - Main Kit directly to the top of my photo for a light and floating effect.
Sharing up a sweet card using the February 2014 - Embellishment Add-On Kit. LOVE LOVE the roller stamp in this kit and made a repeat effect with stamping the "lalalala love you" phrase. Such a versatile roller stamp with fun phrases!
Hey y’all! It’s Ashley Fowler here to share my 3rd layout with the February 2014 Hip Kits! My inspiration for this layout came from our February Challenge Mood Board and mostly included the amazing color combos! I wanted to incorporate more than just paper and embellishments on my 3rd layout, so I took on a mixed media approach. I started with modeling paste and a stencil; this is a great way to add ...easy texture to the page and the best part is that it dries pretty quickly. Secondly, I took some mist, paint, and a roller-stamp to finish off the background. Then I layered patterned papers underneath my photo and added a few hearts that I stamped and heat embossed on some vellum from the kit. Lastly, I used those adorable Dear Lizzy Thickers to add the title. I hope you enjoy my layout & process video and will try the upcoming challenges with us—I’d love to see your take on our February challenge! Happy Saturday!
I want to say thank you to each and every one of you that participated in our February Challenge. It was so much fun to see your takes on our February Mood Board. I hope you all will join in our March Challenge which will be announced on Monday, March 3rd. xo –Kimberly -

Bonjour! It is Amelie here with you today sharing two projects that I created with our February 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits.
My first project is a layout that I created using our February Challenge Mood Board as my inspiration. I was really inspired by a few elements on the mood board, and decided to incorporate them into my page. I chose to use the color palette from the second photo on our mood board and began by splattering aqua, pink and gold mists in the top left and bottom right corners of my page. Next, I layered cardstock and patterned paper from our main kit and added a white Elle’s Studio frame and some tags & labels. I loved the pink & white packaging from the Elle’s Studio Stamp Set in our Stamp Add-On Kit. So, I decided to incorporate it into my layout by using it to create a couple of pennant banners at the top of my page and layering a few strips of it here and there. Sequins, an Elle’s Studio wood veneer shape, some Daily Flash chipboard shapes, a couple of strips of washi tape and some machine stitching gave my page some nice finishing touches. There are still a couple days left for you to share your layout for our February Layout Challenge. I can't wait to see your takes on our mood board!
My second project is a very simple card. I created the base of my card by overlaying several papers cut into different size squares. Next, I added some Elle's Studio labels and a couple of hearts that stamped onto vellum and heat embossed using the Zing Silver Glitter Embossing Powder included in our February Color Add-On Kit. I hope you like it!
